His experience includes defending clients in wage and hour class actions, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) collective actions, and California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) representative actions, as well as individual discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour claims.
Ian has experience in all phases of litigation, from summary judgment to trial and appeal. Ian has tried class and collective claims to verdict. He also has appellate experience in representing an employer in a challenge to California’s rule against arbitrability of PAGA claims.
In addition to litigation, Ian also counsels clients on a broad range of employment issues such as wage and hour policies and practices, paid time off policies, paid sick leave policies, reasonable accommodations, and the interactive process.
