Each month, the Puget Sound Business Journal profiles a small group of lawyers who are rising stars in the Puget Sound region. Nominations are reviewed by the PSBJ Editorial Board for selection based on client service, innovation, value initiatives, and leadership. Aaron Johnson was named to the publication’s November list.
Johnson represents businesses in tax matters, including litigation, audit defense, appeals, planning, and structuring tax efficient transactions. When he is not serving taxpayers, he is providing service to the community as WSBA Tax Section’s SALT Committee Chair, a member of the Section’s Legislative and DEI committees, a member of the ABA Tax Section SALT Executive Committee, and as a professor teaching federal tax at UW School of Law. He previously taught corporate tax at UW Foster and federal tax at Seattle Pacific University. When he isn’t representing taxpayers, you can find him spending time with his wife and two young children.
