Aaron Johnson has been appointed as a member of affiliate law faculty teaching at the University of Washington School of Law’s Graduate Tax LL.M. program.
Johnson is creating a unique remote and asynchronous foundational income tax course for domestic and foreign-trained lawyers new to the LL.M. in taxation. He will be teaching LAW T 505: Introduction to Income Taxation. The course addresses a number of fundamental income tax concepts, including the computation of individual tax liability, statutory exclusions, deductions, and gains. It also deals with issues related to character of income and timing.
Johnson is a prolific speaker for institutions, legal, and business communities. He serves on the Washington State Department of Revenue Business Advisory Council, is an advisory member for the Association of Washington Businesses, and is a volunteer on multiple committees for the Washington State Bar Association Tax Section, among a number of other organizations that he supports.
