Becky Mares has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF), the world's largest humanitarian air operator. MAF is a Christian-based nonprofit that provides aviation, communications, and technology services to nonprofit church and humanitarian agencies in the world's most remote areas. For context, in 2022:
- MAF flew more than 6.3 million kilometers – more than 157 times around the equator.
- MAF flew to around 1,000 destinations worldwide.
- MAF flew more than 35,000 hours and more than 47,000 flight legs, flying around 138,000 passengers and 5.3 million kilograms of freight (excluding passenger baggage allowances)
- MAF has 116 aircrafts serving in 31 countries.
