Lane Powell is pleased to welcome four new associates to the firm’s Portland and Seattle offices: Alexander Fung, Sarah Molinoff, Kellen Patterson and Carlisle Pearson.
Alexander Fung
Fung has joined Lane Powell as an Associate on the Corporate, Securities and M&A Team in Seattle.
He represents and advises his clients on a range of transactional and business matters, including corporate governance, debt and equity financings, and mergers and acquisitions. Fung received his J.D. and B.A. in Anthropology, summa cum laude, from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law.
Sarah Molinoff
Molinoff has joined Lane Powell as an Associate on the Commercial Litigation Team in Portland
She represents clients in commercial litigation matters. She has a broad range of experience defending companies in complex commercial disputes and litigation and she has appeared before state, federal and administrative tribunals. Her experience also includes a wide range of white-collar work, including criminal trials, as well as internal and regulatory investigations. She has also defended clients in enforcement actions by the Department of Justice, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and other agencies.
Prior to joining Lane Powell, Molinoff was a Judicial Law Clerk for the U.S. District Court at the Southern District of New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Before law school, she was an investigator at the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging, where she focused on government oversight and investigations into the pharmaceutical industry, nursing homes and pension plans.
Molinoff received her J.D. from New York University School of Law, her M.St. in Film Aesthetics from the University of Oxford and her B.A. with honors in History of Art and Architecture from Harvard University.
Kellen Patterson
Patterson has joined Lane Powell as an Associate on the Commercial Litigation and Construction Teams in Seattle.
She is an experienced commercial litigator who primarily focuses on complex commercial construction disputes. She handles a full range of litigation processes, including pre-suit settlement negotiation, mediation, arbitration, discovery including large-scale e-Discovery, motions practice and appeals.
Patterson has represented numerous regional and national general contractors, subcontractors and designers in a range of contract and tort litigation matters. She also has experience representing Washington state municipalities and school districts in administrative proceedings including land use disputes and employee discipline matters.
Patterson received her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law and her B.Ed. in Elementary and Special Education Teaching Certificates, magna cum laude, from Gonzaga University.
Carlisle Pearson
Pearson has joined Lane Powell as an Associate on the Commercial Litigation Team in Portland.
He is a commercial litigator with experience in environmental law, real property law and land use issues.
Prior to joining Lane Powell as an Associate, Pearson worked as a Summer Associate for Lane Powell. During that time, he assisted with litigation matters involving real property and land use, constitutional law, landlord-tenant law, contracts, dram shop liability, insurance law and other areas. Prior to his summer at Lane Powell, Pearson worked for the U.S. Department of Energy at the Bonneville Power Administration where he gained experience with inter-agency negotiations and assisted in matters involving energy law, forest law, Indian law, federal lands law, natural resources law, environmental regulations and legal ethics.
Pearson received his J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School and two B.A.s, summa cum laude, in Environmental Studies and Legal Studies from the University of Pittsburgh.
