The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) has recognized Lane Powell as a “Top Performer” in 2020, marking the fourth year the firm has received this honor. LCLD is a national organization made up of managing partners of law firms and general counsel of public and private companies, who share a mission of fostering diversity and inclusion in the legal profession. Founded in 2009, the LCLD strives to take a direct approach in tackling issues of diversity in the industry by working closely with legal professionals to attract, inspire and nurture talent among the next generation of diverse leaders.
The “Top Performer” award recognizes organizations in the top 20% for active participation in LCLD initiatives throughout the year, including the LCLD Fellows, Pathfinders and Pipeline programs that help participants develop their talents and leadership skills. This year, Lisa Poplawski is Lane Powell’s LCLD Fellow, and Geoff Palachuk is Lane Powell’s LCLD Pathfinder. A number of Lane Powell attorneys also serve as mentors in LCLD’s Success in Law School Mentoring Program, and the firm’s 2020 summer associates participated in the 1L Scholars Program.
