Hannah A. Ard has joined Lane Powell as Counsel to the Firm on the Labor, Employment & Benefits Team.
Ard is an accomplished litigator who has dedicated her practice to representing clients in employment, commercial and constitutional matters. She has represented numerous corporate clients in employment cases, including Title VII discrimination matters, ADA cases, potential USERRA violations, Sarbanes-Oxley whistleblower cases and non-compete cases. She is a former member of the Department of Justice’s Employment Discrimination Task Force and has experience giving presentations on various aspects of employment law.
With a comprehensive background in the public and private sectors, Ard has experience in all components of pre-trial litigation, including drafting complaints and answers, drafting and arguing dispositive and discovery-related motions, conducting discovery, retaining and working with experts, and taking and defending depositions.
Ard received her J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School, her M.A. in Sociology from the University of Maryland, and her B.A. from St. John’s College.
