Callie Castillo has joined Lane Powell as Counsel to the Firm on the Commercial Litigation and Appellate Teams in Seattle.
Castillo is a skilled litigator who is well-versed in a wide range of complex litigation matters. She has argued numerous cases in front of the Washington Supreme Court, as well as Ninth Circuit cases, on issues relating to the Uniform Commercial Code, campaign finance, legislative power, evidentiary burdens, property tax, municipal authority and election law.
Prior to joining Lane Powell, Castillo was a Deputy Solicitor General at the Washington State Attorney General’s Office. During her time there, she independently handled and oversaw appellate cases at all levels of state and federal courts, and served as an advisor to elected officials. Castillo’s experience also includes defending Washington state, both in state and federal litigation, against constitutional challenges to various laws and initiatives.
Castillo received her J.D. from George Mason University School of Law and her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Washington.
