On May 9, Peter Partnow was awarded Alaska Bar Association’s Distinguished Service Award at the Annual Bar Convention in Fairbanks, Alaska. Justice Susan Carney presented the award to Partnow for his decades of service to the Alaska Bar Association and community as a whole.
Partnow serves as a fee administrator under the Bar’s fee arbitration program, which allows clients to contest fees they have been charged by their attorney(s). He has served as an arbitrator in more than 30 of these matters. Partnow also co-chairs the Bar’s employment law section and takes on pro bono work for Alaska Legal Services, where he participates in its “Attorney of the Day” program. Outside of the legal community, Partnow is a board member for a number of nonprofits, including the Anchorage Concert Association, the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts, Choices, Inc. and the Government Hill Community Council.
