Sarah MacLeod will present “Succession Planning for the Family Farm” at an Estate Planning Council of North Central Washington meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 7. MacLeod will discuss issues related to estate and succession planning for family farms: from transfer tax considerations such as qualified family-owned business interests and the Washington state farm deduction, to intangible planning issues such as determining control and “fairness” among the next generation. She’ll review the fundamentals, and provide some creative solutions for helping ensure your clients can keep the family farm. The event will take place at the Wenatchee Golf & Country Club in Wenatchee, Washington from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
