Paul Ostroff will present at the National Business Institute’s “Human Resource Law From A to Z Seminar” on Tuesday, November 13 from 10:45 a.m. to noon. Ostroff’s presentation titled “Legal Issues in Recruiting and Hiring” will cover:
- How to create legally effective job descriptions,
- How to write job offers and rejection letters to repeal lawsuits,
- The legal aspects of gaining information through criminal background checks and social media, and
- Drafting employment contracts.
The two-day seminar will bring together HR professionals, accountants, c-suite executives and attorneys to learn about the pressing legal issues in the HR industry today and how to provide all employees with a happy and productive workplace. The event will take place November 13-14 at the Radisson Hotel Portland Airport.
