Andrew Gabel and Mike Nesteroff will be presenting at the Washington State Bar Association’s (WSBA) Construction Law Section Annual Seminar on Friday, June 8. The seminar will introduce the Washington Construction Law Deskbook. Gabel will delve into the chapter he and Jennifer Beyerlein co-wrote entitled “Architect/Engineer Contracts and Liability.” He will discuss the legal issues that regularly impact design professionals, such as the Independent Duty Doctrine and indemnity. Nesteroff will present “Environmental Issues: Ignorance of the Law Is No Excuse” based on the chapter he wrote for the Deskbook which will teach legal professionals how to be aware of existing and potential environmental issues and to avoid unnecessary delays, penalties and increased costs. The seminar will also include four other chapter reviews, case and legislative updates, a Judicial Panel and an Ethics presentation. The full-day event will take place from 8:25 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. at the WSBA Conference Center in Seattle.
