Qingqing Miao has joined Lane Powell as an Attorney in the Firm’s Business Practice Group, where she will focus her practice on immigration and business law.
Miao assists clients in navigating the complex U.S. immigration process and provides legal services to help their businesses grow and succeed. Her clients, ranging in size from individuals to corporations, are often involved in cross-border transactions, particularly transactions involving the U.S. and China. Miao writes about issues in international business and immigration law, which have been published in both English and Chinese professional and academic journals. She is also a regular speaker at conferences and seminars on these topics.
Miao is strongly committed to serving and giving back to the community. She is a member of the Executive Committee of the Washington Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Secretary of the Asian Bar Association of Washington. She has also served on the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Washington State Bar Association since 2011. A native of Chongqing, China, Miao is on the Board of the Seattle Chongqing Sister City Association.
Miao received her J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School and her B.A. in English Literature and Linguistics from Peking University.
