Lane Powell and President Charles W. Riley Jr. have been recognized by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) as a 2015 “Top Performer.” All organizations nominated are identified as the organization’s most active members who support the LCLD mission in many ways, including hosting at least one 1L Scholar, observing a webinar, supplying mentors to their Law School Mentoring program, and attending the Annual Members Meeting.
Lane Powell has been involved in LCLD for several years, supporting the organization’s mission to increase diversity in the legal profession and to eliminate impediments and provide minorities and women with a full and fair opportunity to perform, to succeed and to lead. The Firm is in its third year of having a Lane Powell attorney participate in the LCLD Fellows Program, a program designed to produce a generation of attorneys with strong leadership and relationship skills who are committed to fostering diversity within their individual institutions and the profession at large.
Founded in 2009, the LCLD is a growing organization of more than 225 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners dedicated to creating a truly diverse legal profession. Its goal is to help its member organizations find, hire, retain, promote and engage the best talent.
