Barry A. Abbott
Barry concentrates his practice on financial services, general corporate, payments and e-commerce law. Abbott has represented numerous international and domestic institutions. He has extensive experience in corporate law and financial services, including new product development, bank regulatory (and payment) issues, insurance law and nonprofit law. Abbott is active in e-commerce matters and has represented established companies and startups (including crowdfunding, peer-to-peer and gaming companies) in all aspects of their Internet and e-commerce businesses. He received his J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law, with honors, Order of the Coif; his M.B.A. from Stanford University; and his A.B., magna cum laude, with high distinction in History, from Dartmouth College.
Andrew J. Gabel
Andrew concentrates his practice on representing design professionals, public and private owners, contractors, product manufacturers and insurers on environmental and construction matters. He has handled complex construction and real estate matters involving alleged design errors, cost overruns, lease disputes and insurance coverage disputes. Gabel received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Gonzaga University School of Law and his B.A. in Political Science from the University of California at Riverside.
Abraham K. Lorber
Abraham concentrates his practice on all aspects of commercial litigation with a special focus on real estate litigation, including landlord/tenant, mortgages, easements, boundary disputes, restrictive covenants and long term care residency issues. He defends financial institutions in lawsuits brought by borrowers in default and in prosecuting involuntary discharge action on behalf of long term care communities. Lorber has experience in all phases of litigation, including mediations, arbitrations and trials. In addition, he has a Yellow Belt certification in Legal Lean Sigma® and Project Management. Lorber received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School and his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan.
Portland Office:
Kenneth R. Haglund, Jr.
Kenneth is Lane Powell’s Financial Institution Industry Group Leader for Corporate/Community Banking. He focuses his practice on public and private business corporations and financial institutions, with a concentration on securities and regulatory compliance, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate and real estate finance. In addition, Haglund is active in ongoing securities compliance for publicly traded companies, including securities disclosure obligations, periodic reporting and EDGAR filing requirements. Haglund also serves as the Chair of the Oregon State Bar’s Business Law Section. He received his J.D. from Willamette University College of Law and his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Oregon, Lundquist College of Business.
