Beth Joffe has joined the Seattle office as Counsel to the Firm in the Labor and Employment Department.
Joffe has served as an employment litigator and legal advisor since 1998, representing and assisting employers of all sizes — public and private — across numerous industries and on a nationwide basis. Joffe has considerable experience in federal and state courts, before administrative agencies and in private arbitration, and has represented employers in numerous EEOC-initiated lawsuits and broad-scale agency investigations. Beyond her litigation work, Joffe provides counsel to her clients on a full range of daily and strategic human resources matters including hiring, termination, discipline, performance management, wage and hour compliance, HR policy review, workforce restructuring/ reorganization, harassment complaints and investigations, and accommodation and leave requests.
Prior to joining Lane Powell, Joffe worked in the employment groups of Stokes Lawrence, P.S. in Seattle and Seyfarth Shaw LLP in its Chicago office. She also worked in two in-house employment counsel positions and had her own firm, specializing in conducting workplace investigations.
Joffe received her J.D. from Emory Law School, and her B.S. with distinction in Business Economics and Public Policy from Indiana University.
