Sarah MacLeod will co-present “Practice Drafting Tips: How to Update Our Forms to Incorporate the New DPOA Act and Directed Trust Act” at the Washington State Bar Association’s 2017 Real Property, Probate and Trust Midyear Meeting and Conference at 11:05 a.m. on Sunday, June 11. The event will cover a host of hot topics in real property and probate/trust, including:
- What Washington state attorneys need to know about the complexities of dirt, death and martial property in Oregon and Idaho;
- Effectively helping clients manage, buy, sell and transfer their closely-held real estate business;
- Wind farms, water rights, land use in agricultural areas and lender’s access to property prior to foreclosure; and
- Practical drafting tips for the new Power of Attorney Act, unique transactions with trusts, planning opportunities with the marital deduction and trust decanting legislation.
The conference will take place June 9-11 at the Marcus Whitman Hotel and Conference Center in Walla Walla, Washington.
