Joni Summers v. Extendicare Homes, Inc.Case No. 3:11-cv-128-BRPortland, Oregon We represented the defendant against a claim brought by a former employee who alleged whistleblowing violations and wrongful discharge. Extendicare moved for summary judgment and asserted an after-acquired evidence defense. Summary judgment dismissing the wrongful discharge case was granted as well as limiting damages for a four-month period of time. Thereafter, the parties reached a confidential resolution of the case. |
